Cold-applied plastic B-AK-52-T “STRELA” (for manual application)
Cold-applied plastic B-AK-52-T “Strela” (hereinafter referred to as “CP “Strela” manual”) is a high-viscosity material, complete with a polymerization initiator (hardener) and, upon customer request, reflective glass beads. It does not contain organic solvents. It is designed for producing thick-layer horizontal road markings with high functional durability. CP “Strela” manual is available in white, yellow, red, blue, and green. The product is manufactured under a quality management system certified to ISO 9001.
Application
For manual HP “Strela”, a powder hardener is recommended, which is introduced with simultaneous mechanized mixing immediately before application, depending on the ambient temperature, in an amount from 0.5 to 2.5%.
Methods of application
Plastic consumption depends on the coating condition, the presence of surface treatment, and the application method.
The approximate consumption of manual HP “Strela” for solid marking is 5.0 – 7.5 kg/m2 , for structural marking – 3.5 – 5.0 kg/m2 , for profile marking, the consumption can reach 7.0 – 12.0 kg/m2 depending on the profile relief. Glass bead consumption ranges from 250 to 500 g/m2 . The recommended granulometric composition of glass beads is 400 – 840 µm, surface treatment – adhesive and flotation.
Package
Metal buckets 20, 30 kg.
Transportation and storage
The plastic is transported and stored in tightly sealed containers at temperatures no higher than +30°C, in compliance with current fire safety regulations and standards.
The plastic and polymerization initiator are transported and stored separately.
Guaranteed shelf life
12 months from date of manufacture.
