Cold-applied plastic B-AK-53-T “STRELA” (for machine application)
Cold-applied plastic B-AK-53-T “Strela” (hereinafter referred to as HP “Strela” machine-applied) is a high-viscosity material, complete with a polymerization initiator (hardener) and, upon customer request, retroreflective glass beads. It does not contain organic solvents. It is designed for producing thick-layer horizontal roadway markings (pedestrian crossings, intersections, stopping lines, as well as edge and center lines on highways and motorways) with high functional durability. Horizontal markings made with HP “Strela” machine-applied are characterized by high wear resistance, good weather resistance and UV resistance, good adhesion to asphalt concrete and cement concrete, and excellent day and night visibility. HP “Strela” machine-applied is available in white, yellow, red, green, and blue. The products are manufactured under a quality management system certified to ISO 9001.
Application
For the machine-made HP “Strela”, a liquid hardener is recommended, which is added mechanically in accordance with the instructions for using the application equipment, depending on the ambient temperature, in an amount of 0.5 to 2.5%.
Methods of application
Plastic consumption depends on the coating condition, the presence of surface treatment, and the application method. The approximate material consumption for solid markings is 5.0-7.5 kg/m2 , for structural markings – 3.5-5.0 kg/m2 , for profile markings the consumption can reach 7.0-12.0 kg/m2 depending on the profile relief.
Glass bead consumption is from 250 to 500 g/m2 . The recommended granulometric composition of glass beads is 400-840 µm, surface treatment is adhesive and flotation.
Package
Metal buckets 20, 30 kg.
Transportation and storage
The plastic is transported and stored in tightly sealed containers at temperatures no higher than +30°C, in compliance with current fire safety regulations and standards.
The plastic and polymerization initiator are transported and stored separately.
Guaranteed shelf life
12 months from date of manufacture.
