Thermoplastic “EQUATOR”
Thermoplastic “Equator” (hereinafter referred to as TP “Equator” PL) is a composite material (loose mixture) based on a polyester binder, containing pigments, fillers, plasticizers and functional additives. The composition contains microglass beads (fraction 100 – 600 μm) in an amount of 10% to 20%. It is intended for application to the road surface of public roads with asphalt concrete pavement. Types of thermoplastics TP “Equator” PL: for regions with a moderate climate (yellow, white colors) – P-PL-502-200, for regions with a cold climate (white and yellow colors) – P-PL-505-200 (“north”), for regions with a hot climate (white and yellow colors) – P-PL-507-200 (“tropical”). The products are manufactured under a quality management system certified to ISO 9001.
Application
In its original form, the “Equator” PL thermoplastic is a loose mixture. To achieve a usable state, it must be melted to
200-220°C and mixed in a kettle at the same temperature for 1.5 hours until all components are completely melted and homogenized. Road markings with thermoplastics are applied mechanically using specialized extruder marking equipment or manually using plastomakers.
Methods of application
The consumption rate of TP “Equator” PL for markings without a structured or profiled surface is at least 6.5 kg/m² at a layer thickness of 3 mm. The consumption rate of glass beads is at least 300 g/m², but this can be increased depending on the road category or customer requirements. For maximum retroreflective effect, glass beads from 400 to 1500 µm are used.
Package
Polyethylene bags 18.5 kg.
Transportation and storage
Thermoplastics are stored in covered warehouses in their original packaging at temperatures between +5 and +30°C, avoiding direct sunlight, moisture, and water, in compliance with current fire safety regulations and standards. The stack height of bags should not exceed 2 meters. Transportation is permitted by any mode of transport, in accordance with current freight transportation regulations.
Guaranteed shelf life
12 months from date of manufacture.
