MARKING WITH THERMOPLASTICS
The Vulcan thermoplastic preparation equipment is designed for melting and mixing thermoplastic immediately before loading it into the marking machine. The main components of the equipment are the thermoplastic container(s) and the power unit. Heat generated by the liquid fuel burner can be transferred to the plastic via an intermediate heat transfer fluid (indirect heating) or directly through the walls of the thermoplastic container (direct heating).
The power unit supplies power to the actuators: the stirrer, burner, automation system, and damper drive (if equipped). The automation system maintains the thermoplastic’s set temperature within the required range throughout the entire material preparation cycle. The equipment package includes a drain pan, pyrometer, gas burner, extension ladder (select models), heat-resistant gloves, and a flashing beacon.
Depending on the model, the Vulcan series equipment can be equipped with loading conveyors. The equipment set is mounted on a truck chassis with the appropriate load capacity.
